Niranjan (Alf) Kandiah
Director
After a 20-year career in commercial and corporate banking, I had a desire to deliver a service that was based on real relationships, genuine guidance with access to a broad range of solutions and getting our clients the results they are after. This remains the biggest buzz for me personally – having a client who feels empowered and valued.
My educational background includes a Bachelor of Economics and a Postgraduate Diploma in Finance as well as a variety of lending courses that one tends to pick up when working in banking and finance.
My spare time these days is spent with family, visiting places I have never been to and partaking of new experiences, staying in touch with a great group of friends who are good for the soul and taking spiritual lessons from my zen master, aka my dog, about living in the present and enjoying life.

I have a partner with whom I share 4 kids which is a job on its own so when I get the luxury of some free time, I generally like to spend it unwinding and being a “propeller head” and playing online games.
My background includes a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Economics & Banking and after a successful career in business and corporate banking spanning 25 years, I had a real desire to establish a business that is focused solely on the customer.
Over that time, whilst I gained a breadth of experience and had the privilege of helping many individuals and a wide array of businesses. I became disillusioned with the transactional approach adopted and standardised by financiers along with their departure from providing actual service.
Rob, Alf and I have worked together over the years and I decided to join Proteger given our shared business values and vision. The heart of which is establishing and maintaining longstanding genuine relationships that are based on providing honest and sincere guidance and solutions.
There is no better feeling than helping our customers achieve their dreams! whether it be that first car or house purchase right up to construction of a high-rise apartment complex or expansion of large-scale manufacturing business.
